Bergamot is the oil from and citrus tree, I have the essential oil and it is heavenly. I like to mix it with frankincense. They both have this spirited top note that wakes you. I split my fragrances into everyday casual-clean fresh linen, tea & citrus scents, and then semi-formal- woody resin, musk, citrus. So far my faves is Philosphy Amazing Grace, CK unisex line, DKNY Cashmere- I wear this all the time work or not I just can't get away from this. I can't stand berry or floral fragrances either but I can tolerate tea rose because it is soft and deep astringent like aroma. Back when they had The Body Shop in malls I use to purchase a fragrance called Leap, I use to wear it everyday. If I can find the dupe I would get a life time supply. lol

Hi Marnie, the next time you're in Nordstrom, try Boucheron. It's described as citrusy tangerine and bitter orange, florals jasmine and orange flower, sandalwood, amber and vanilla. It's fabulous! Enjoying your videos!

If you like samples, try Scentbird. For $14.95 a month they ship you a generous sample in a travel spray. I just signed up and am awaiting my first sample of Café Intense by Montale. They don't have every designer house, but they have most of the big names and some niche fragrances.

If you like Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, you might want to check out Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge…also part of the Tom Ford Private Blend collection. Jasmin Rouge is much more wearable then Tobacco Vanille as it can be worn both day and night but it is also super expensive. For a less expensive option, you might want to check out Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme from his signature collection. You might also like Dior Addict or Jo Loves Red Truffle 21. Jo Loves fragrances are Jo Malone's (the woman) new fragrance house since she left Jo Malone which is owned by Estee Lauder. I also really like Kilian Amber Oud but it is super pricey too. You can purchase samples of more expensive perfumes through sites like 'Surrender to Chance'.

Prada Amber has been around for a while 🙂 if you LOVE amber i'd say that is a good one to try. It's VERY heavy on the amber (duh right?!) it's gorgeous but a little goes a long way!

Lovely collection !!!! really enjoyed your taste 🙂 May I ask though, how did you manage to acquire a sample of the Tom Ford? I would love to get one (someday) before committing to his "full size" perfume bottles as they cost quite a penny…and they are SO sophisticated, you're right – you gotta try it out before committing to it 🙂

Marnie, you mentioned a long time ago what you thought was a good dupe for your favorite Hermes Amber perfume and I can't remember the name. Shopping for a new fall scent, what was it called?

Mrs. Marnie try Burberry Black its new for Fall. Smells warm and beautiful. Also Elizabeth and James has a new one out too. It's a good one. Did you know that it's the first names of the Olson twins grandparents?

It's a year later, but if you are still loving amber you need to try Estee Lauder Private Collection Amber & Ylang Ylang. One of the most gorgeous, soft, mysterious and warm ambers I've ever smelled.
